but who killed the Internet Star ?

As the week draws to an end, we have the once hailed booster for the artists & musicians across the world, the social networking website Myspace being sold out to the relatively unheard Specific Media for a price which made rounds for being well, disappointingly low.

The company had been beleaguered and reporting losses since long. With it's meeting a dismal fate, we start thinking about the league of Internet celebrities which was conceived by Myspace. Is it that the once netizens revered figures of the likes of Tila Tequila, Jeffrey Star will fade away like another Internet meme ? Probably, with the ever increasing expanse of trends in social media and how people interact with each other and build circles, every other 'upcoming' phenomena ends up having a meteoric run only.

While we talk about this, the world is currently left awe-struck by Google Plus and is waiting for an invite in the kitty. Google, probably wouldn't like to reminisce the brickbats it received with the invites for Google Wave, which now rests in peace. However, refreshingly ,we have talks where Facebook is being placed along the word toppling. Well, wait for it.
